  the worst form of punishment for any major crime on the planet is death.. however, the second option of imprisonment is way more powerful and popular all over the world.

  Yes there’s some scripture that says these things will not be called to mind. That’s why I don’t get why Jehovah's Witnesses are always bummed out that none of his kids are in the org. Isn’t god going to wipe their mind clean anyways? So you will forget all your loved ones and maybe get to have new children assuming you don’t die before Armageddon because if you do and you are resurrected supposedly you can’t marry or have kids ?

  is it my imagination or are most witnesses weird, odd, and “different “?

  it seems every congregation has a couple of weirdo elders, pioneers and ministerial servants.

  and then you see those witnesses who attend meetings but most people seldom associate with them because... they are eccentric..

  half your children are dead and your still happy?

  i have/had a jw friend who has five daughters.. she was a born in as her daughters were also.

  two of the daughters are out and have waken up.

  I have/had a JW friend who has five daughters.

  She was a born in as her daughters were also.

  Two of the daughters are out and have waken up. One of them is half in and half out. The other two are totally in.

  Not unusually 50% seems about the going rate for kids now a days who want to to stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

  Armageddon comes and half of your children are of course killed off by your loving god.

  So tell, me the part again about how happy you are living in this paradise picking up the bones of if not yours but other people's dead children?

  But god will erase the memories of my dead children and other loved ones from my mind....really?

  Come on guys does these make any sense at all?

  Please, I beg you take the cup of this Kool-Aid (that will make you forget about your love ones) from your lips and put in back on the alter of your cruel and insane god.

  This is a type of story (and god) that only men/Jim Jones could create!

  after we said our formal greetings to each other we caught up on each other’s history.

  somehow the conversation took a turn into politics.

  Is the Governing Body under estimating the volume of those waking up?

  that they loosen the reins of control and be more honest with its members.

  A good post a bad analogy, the governing body is not like Artemisia.

  I think of them and knorr more like Adolf Hitler at the end of world war II in the bunker.... ranting, and believing in some sort of miracle/weapon would some how some save them from their blood guilt.

  When should you Disassociate yourself?

  i have been having discussion with my sister (relative), who is an active witness, about writing a letter of disassociation.

  the reason being is that i have not attended the meetings in over a year and it's been 4 years since i have went out in the jw ministry.. i going to try to sum this topic up.

  my sister think that i should not da myself because i have not done any immoral act in her thinking.

  I respect all the ways there are to leave the Organization (except suicide) whether it is DA DF or Fade....everyone has different circumstances and should be respected for their choices.

  I however chose DA.

  Why? Because I felt I had publicly gone into their organization (by way of baptism) I publicly wanted to announce to the world I was leaving it.

  Many years before I left the tooth, Bob Brock DA himself. It had a real effect on me. Here was a person who did nothing wrong or sinful who said. "This is not for me guys so good bye" He wasn't expelled he just walked away.

  It was one of the many seeds dropped in my head that this church wasn't for everyone.
